    Working It Out Western Fall Clinic
    This clinic is hosted by judge Jennifer Woodruff and is open to ALL Ranch and Western Riders (or potential riders).  All breeds and skill sets welcome, including Gaited and Beginner riders. Wanna try Ranch? Here’s your chance! Or “bring your bling” and ride along with the ranch crowd in this “all day Western” event! This class is limited to 10 participants and requires and RSVP to wvsc2017@gmail.com or via our Facebook page.  The cost is $85 for an all-day fee.  Please see our flyer here.  The deadline to sign up is October 1, 2019.

    Ranch/Western Horsemanship
    Learn the ins and outs of a winning pattern as well as how the new scoring system works. One on one training on transitions, pace, contact, core and balance development. Training on turns, stops and extended gaits. Group work and individual work as well as practice classes included in this session.

    Lunch and setting up the trail course

    Ranch Trail and Western Trail
    Master the obstacles and minimize the penalties in this confidence building session on trail. Obstacle training on common obstacles such as the gate, backing, side passing, riding over logs and the log drag for the ranch crowd. Practice judged courses included in the session.

    Ranch/Western Showmanship
    Own your ground work in the granddaddy of in hand classes. Learn how to catch the judge’s eye on all pattern work, earn the plus scores and clean up your transitions, turns and inspection. Pattern practice at the end of the session with scoring.

  • Halter & Showmanship Clinic

    Join us for an informative clinic with multi champion halter winner, Brenda Johnson. Learn techniques on winning at Halter showing, and learn what the judges are looking for in Grooming & Showmanship in a small, intimate setting.  Focus will be on setting your horse up for success in the Halter classes, grooming techniques including mane banding and tail extensions, and proper handler dress attire and showmanship. Space is limited to 12 participants to ensure individual feedback with Brenda.

    Registration opens at 8:30am, clinic will begin promptly at 9:00am.

    Cost per horse/handler combination is $30.Bring your horse for hands on learning & critique $30; you may audit without a horse for $15.
